Thank you for choosing Bethesda-Chevy Chase Root Canal Specialists for your endodontic care. We look forward to seeing you.
What to Expect
We start with a limited diagnostic examination including necessary radiographic studies. In consultation with your referring dentist, we will determine if your tooth is a good candidate for endodontic therapy and explain your treatment options.
The next step is usually non-surgical treatment to remove the injured pulp and cleanse and seal the canal system. This treatment normally requires local anesthesia and may be completed in one or more visits depending on the treatment required. We will inform you as soon as possible if we determine that your tooth is not suitable for root canal treatment or the prognosis changes any time during the course of treatment. In most cases, after endodontic treatment, you will be comfortable returning immediately to your normal routine.
Generally, non-surgical treatment is all that is needed to save a tooth with an injured pulp. Occasionally, endodontic microsurgery is necessary when routine endodontic treatment does not result in healing.
Endodontic fees are based on the complexity of the procedure. You will be advised of the fee for each procedure at the time of consultation. We will make every effort to help you get reimbursed by your insurance carrier, so please bring your dental and medical insurance information with you.
We welcome any questions you may have about payment and insurance benefits. We accept personal checks, debit cards, VISA, MasterCard and Discover. Thank you.
